Victorian Artists Society Autumn Select Exhibition April 9 - May 2, 2022

I'm thrilled to say that one of my paintings, Still Life with Persimmon and Chestnuts is on display in the Victorian Artists Society Autumn Select Exhibition, which started yesterday and runs through to May 2.

My painting in situ in the Hammond Gallery at the top of the stairs.

The Official Opening of this exhibition is on Tuesday 12th at 7pm. There is also a surprise, I will not be a spoiler, however there is a work from the Permanent Collection which is on display and a real treat to see.  There are also many other masterful works from VAS members on display in 3 galleries - over 100!!!

As I have only just started exhibiting at the Victorian Artists Society in the open entry shows, I didn't expect my work to make it in. Thank you to those who selected my work to be displayed in such great company. This inspired me to paint, so I went straight out to purchase more fruit in order to resume work in my painting studio after a stint in the clay studio, making mini relief sculpture kilt pin brooches.

Looking closer at the VAS gallery hanging system, I think I was unconsciously inspired with my concept for the still life fruit brooches made for exhibition at the Australian National Brooch Show later this month!

My Still Life with Persimmon and Chestnuts painting will be available for viewing and sale in the online Autumn Select Exhibition from April 13. https://vasgallery.org.au/VAS-Autumn-Select-Exhibition-2022~27554
