It has been a very busy time lately and I am grateful to now have the time to post about the selection of my painting, Oil Study with Red Figs for the Victorian Artists Society annual Autumn Select Exhibition.
My little oil study was painted at home from life, I set the stage for the fruits and the rest just happened. The elegant Italian picture frame is crafted from wood and was custom made especially for this work, giving it an almost timeless charm!
The exhibition is open every day M-F 10-4 and S/S 11-4 in the iconic heritage VAS building located in the Frater, McCubbin and Hammond Galleries until May 8th.
